The research  called “Information and Knowledgement Management in Educational Collaborative Activities is being developed at the University of Manchester, with the support of Health Ministry Brazil. It investigates several techniques and approaches that can be applied in courses in different institutions, in Brazil and United Kingdom.

Some techniques have already been applied using data collected from Manchester Business School`s MBA.

One other application is planned to occur in the Health and Social care field,  in 2015, within the course M.Sc. in Integrative Health and Social Care, using the University of Derby Online Learning environment.

University of Derby – M.Sc. in Integrative Health and Social Care

MSc in Integrative Health and Social Care is a course designed and applied by University of Derby.  Designed in consultation with leading health and social care specialists, the MSc offers a flexible study route to obtain a postgraduate qualification that can be tailored to individual needs and interests.

Management for an Integrative Health and Social Care Workforce module

The main proposal is to apply a learning analytics approach for the use of forums, in a formative assessment scenario, for the module called Management for an Integrative Health and Social Care Workforce.

This module acknowledges the needs of those in current or developmental managerial roles in health and social care arenas or organisations (including the voluntary or independent sector) who wish to develop new management skills to enhance future Integrative Health and Social Care.

Main target audience are students and professionals associated to or interested in management roles within the fields of health, social care, public, voluntary/community sector organisations.

Forums Application

An activity has been designed to discuss the use of ICT resources on supporting change management, considering the Integrative Health and Social Care environment.

Some concepts and indicators, based on learning analytics studies will be used to provide some insights about students performance and content management.

What type of Services are included are included in Health and Social care domain? (Ilan Chamovitz,D.Sc.)

Whilst thinking about Strategic Business and Service Planning, it is critical to know boundaries. How many different types of services managers will face to? Which services are we “talking” about?

Collected and adapted from Unit Costs of Health and Social Care 2013 (CURTIS, 2013), a structure had been build, showing possible delivered services, as follows.
