Ilan Chamovitz is system analyst of DATASUS - the Health Informatics Department of the Ministry of Health - Brazil and collaborates within Educational Programs and Dissemination of Healthcare and Public Health Information. He is a Doctor in Production Engineering (Industrial and Technological Projects/COPPE/UFRJ), has obtained a MSc. in Informatics (Computer in Education/IM-NCE/UFRJ) and a BA. in Business Administration (UFRJ). He also has an Executive MBA in Information and Communication Technology (ICT/FGV), Post-graduation degree in Systems Analysis(PUC/RJ) and is certified in Computer Programming (PUC/RJ).

His teaching skills includes lectures for young students and for experienced teachers, managers, executives and professionals. The main areas are Business Management, Services and Processes Management, Strategic Planning, System´s Healthcare, Computer Science, Computer in Education, Distance Learning, Technology, Information Systems. Some brazilian educational institutions comprise Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ and Getulio Vargas Foundation - FGV, where he works as an tutor online, as well.

With more than 20 years experience in developing solutions based on systems information and computer programs for small, medium and large business, the researcher also collaborates within the Corporative University of SEBRAE - The Brazilian Service of Support for Micro and Small Enterprises encourage Brazil's entrepreneurship and development. Nowadays Dr. Chamovitz is carrying on the postdoctoral research at the Centre for Service Research, Manchester Business School, University of Manchester, with the support of the Ministry of Health - Brazil, studying the Information and Knowledge Managemente through the use of Virtual Educational Forums. As a System Analist at Brazil Health Ministry - DATASUS, he deals with Dissemination of Information, about public health and healthcare.

The researcher also collaborates within the Corporative University of SEBRAE - The Brazilian Service of Support for Micro and Small Enterprises encourage Brazil's entrepreneurship and development.

As a volunteer, Dr. Chamovitz works as CKO (Chief Knowledge Office) and consultant for Brazil Infertility and Endometriosis Association (ABENDI), and I am the webmaster of the EndoForum [1] , a space for patients’ knowledge construction.
